The Oyster Cross Series is back for year two! Response to this series was fabulous. We are looking forward to another great four training races in Fairfield County.
Oyster Cross races are on Tuesday nights, starting the first week of September and continuing until the last Tuesday of the month. Race dates include September 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th.
If you sign up to help set up the course, you'll get your race fee waived. You only get it comp'd if you sign up ahead of time though. There is a huge set-up that takes place EVERY week because we aren't allowed to keep the course in place.
Setup starts around 2:30-3 p.m., which may be a challenge work-wise, but if you can cut out early once or twice that will help make this event a huge success.
The Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program's mission is to ensure that Connecticut's youth and their families have access and exposure to an organized state-wide youth cycling league. Additionally, youth and their parents should be able to see a clear avenue that allows them to develop as far as their ambition, skills, and abilities can take them. The sport of cycling teaches a child or young adult a wealth of values, social skills, and mindsets that help them become successful in every aspect of their life, and the CCAP is proud to provide kids across the state with the opportunity to participate in a safe and positive team-based environment.
